Frank Miller delivers again

"300" is based off of Frank Miller's comic graphic novel of the same name. Miller, who also brought us "Sin City", delivers another violent and stylized film. Not too many names in this one- except for my guy from "The Wire" Dominic West. It's more violent than "Sin City" and if you liked "Braveheart", you will probably get into this movie.
I'm a huge fan of Miller, so it doesn't take much for me to support anything he does. "300" does take awhile to get going, but once it starts the action is bloody and intense. Miller likes to draw sexy women in his comics and he does supply many to look at here. "The Persian-Pierced Guy" has a lair full of hot lesbians. There are a lot of great battle scenes and some really cool bad guys. If you're looking to learn about The Spartans historical battle, then watch the History Channel. "300" is definitely enhanced by the theater experience. Watching this movie at home will not do it justice. Go check out "300" and look for the trailer for "Grindhouse". I can't wait for Rodriguez and Tarantino's double-feature in April.
